  • Thursday, January 28, 2021
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • Webinar

Systemic health and social inequities contribute to many people from racial and ethnic minority groups having an increased risk of getting sick and dying from COVID-19. Breanca Merritt, PhD, Director of the Center for Research on Inclusion and Social Policy and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Public Policy will share critical lessons learned in light of the pandemic. This town hall will help providers:

  • Identify the role of local agencies and government decisions in producing inequitable outcomes before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Gain a better understanding of how systemic racism intersects with a variety of policy areas and how communities are affected by it.
  • Recognize what can be done within their own organization to move toward systemic change for equity.
